Hydraulic Power Unit...
Advanced Fluid Systems' hydraulic systems are custom designed to meet your application's needs while maintaining a clean efficient layout for easy servicing.
Some system design elements and examples include:
...Design Elements
- High quality components and materials for longer system life and lower maintenance costs. Visit our Products Page.
- Pump-motor group dampening bars reduce vibration and structural noise.
- Convenient filter access for easy, quick element replacement and indicator monitoring.
- Drawings, component documentation and start-up information provided free of charge. Custom manuals available upon request.
- Quality Eaton-Aeroquip hoses, fittings and adapters for fewer leaks and less downtime.
- SAE and o-ring style connections help prevent leaks and reduce connector wear.
- In-house paint system reduces system corrosion. Custom colors, paints and epoxies for corrosive environments are available upon request.
Hydraulic power unit used to tension and test metal chain (controls not shown).
...Power and Precision
This power unit is part of a hydraulic system and controls redesigned by Advanced Fluid Systems to tension metal-link chain and test chain failure ratings. The system tests utilizes multiple servo valves and a custom interface (not shown) to provide precision control.
System Characteristics:
- The ATOS proportional pressure relief and three proportional-servo control valves accurately maintain chain position and force, while providing detailed operator feedback.
- Utilizes tandem Kawasaki pressure compensated axial piston pumps capable of 58GPM total at 4,600PSI.
- Dual 7 micron absolute Pall pressure filters protect the four proportional-servo valves, while the two 7 micron absolute return filters and 3 micron air breather help prevent reservoir contamination.
Dimensions: 42"H x 12 ½"W x 14 ½"D.
...Compact, Efficient Layout
The customer needed this particular unit to fit into a predetermine space which restricted its size and shape. By modifying a standard reservoir and assembling the pump and filter inside the reservoir, we were able to "shape" the power unit to best fit the application.
System Characteristics:
- This custom reservoir was modified to minimize the system foot print and conform to the application space.
- Other space saving characteristics:
- Vertical pump/motor group with the pump and adapter mounted in the reservoir.
- In-tank filter assembly allows for easy access while maintaining a low profile.
- Heat exchanger is mounted directly to the electric motor fan eliminating the need for its own power.
- Internally mounted components reduce hose and tubing requirements and potential leak points.
